Week 11: Social Networks
People are meeting on the web. They are sharing their interests, events and opinions. That’s what social networks are all about. The library will be putting a presence on Facebook sometime soon as an effort to reach out to teens and young adults. So let’s start with Facebook.

Week 5: Wikis
This week’s lesson focuses on wikis. A wiki is basically a website that anyone can edit, although some wikis are password protected to limit viewing and/or editing to only those with a password. They are used as collaborative, sharing tools.
Lesson 1: Learn about wikis and discover some innovative ways that libraries are using them.
Lesson 2: Add a few entries to our Lucy’s Librarians Favorites Wiki. If you’ve used word processing and watched the Wikis in Plain English video in the above lesson, you’ll probably find this exercise pretty easy.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicky or Sue S.
